Okay - I am going to assume I am not the only one to come up with this. ZohoCRM has been around quite a while and I am astonished why these things have not been addressed.
Here goes: No particular order: specific to mass emails. I have 7K worth of contacts and I need to email a subscribed newsletter to them (ie. they subscribed for it).
1. You cannot create a view to say search all contacts with a specific account type eg (Newsletter Only).
2. In order to do this - you have to do a manual criteria - which is fine - until ....
3. You can only send 100 at a time. Imagine guys - 7K worth of contacts. Completely unworkable.
4. No facility to have customers click to unsubscribe ??. whats with that ? you have to manually put it in the footer then have someone manually unsubscribe them.
5. the spam policy. so you get one email complaint and all your emails are shut down ?. okay - so what if its a competitor - what if its an ex employee with a grudge... it can put you dead in the water.
6. fix the fact that if you have muliple email addresses that it doesnt sent the email out many times. thats kind of dumb to say the least and its not feasible for us to go and de-dupe - nor in some cases eg. when the same person represents several companies with the same email address - is it even true.
I was shocked when I saw this - and for a CRM system too ?. A CRM system is useless without being able to send important stuff to your customers - eg. a newsletter.
Also - as a footnote - I know there are specialist marketing systems (eg. constant contact) - but that really isnt an option for us really since a. it seems I cannot export contacts dependent on account information, b. I can only do 3K at a time, c. no method of auto-unsubscribing.
Must admit - never seen anything like this - any comments ? anyone ? thanks.
