This actually a complaint about this announcement:
You present this as an enhancement. And, yes, while reading the main part, I'd agree that (for smaller companies), there are some nice improvements here. You have to read the whole article to find out what these enhancements are going to cost you.
In our case, we can expect to pay 150K USD per year, for something that was free of charge, yesterday.
I doubt we're the only ones impacted, but the way you have sugar-coated the news, most people won't notice it.
And what about the future? Can we expect more of such enhancements? Do we need to start sweating every time you enthusiastically announce something?
I can understand that prices go up, I mean, they go up everywhere else.
To make this more professional:
- The name of your topic suggests that it's just a free extra, not a substantial price raise (for some). Yes, you may highlight the benefits, but the topic should make clear that it's not all great.
- The cons should be in the first lines and not at the bottom.
- Finally, you should've announced this months ago and not on the day of implementation.
Our company is still in the process of implementing Zoho, we might be able to avoid most of the costs. But IMHO, if this is the way Zoho likes to communicate with their customers, I'm not sure if staying with Zoho is a good choice.
