Missing zeros on import

Have been trying to import from csv into 'Accounts' module that contains uk phone numbers which start with a zero (example : 01234 567890).

Tried importing into default 'Phone' field, and it drops the leading zeros!! Tried creating custom field (text), and it still drops the zero.

The most fustrating thing is that when I import the same data into 'Contacts', the phone number is displayed correctly!

Any ideas. Only testing with small 10 line sample. Got 30k I want to import, but stuck on this.
