Months of WooCommerce–Zoho Inventory sync failures and repeated support requests – has anyone experienced this?

I run a small retail business using WooCommerce and Zoho One. For months, I have been trying to resolve recurring synchronisation failures between WooCommerce and Zoho Inventory.

Hundreds of product sync attempts have failed across multiple periods with the error:

“Looks like you have the same product, but the inventory tracking settings are different.”

What makes this particularly frustrating is that comparable products and variations synchronise successfully, while others repeatedly fail.

I have spent months cleaning up our catalogue, correcting SKUs, checking product variations and comparing inventory tracking settings. WooCommerce is intended to remain our primary system for stock control.

Despite providing screenshots, affected product examples and detailed explanations on numerous occasions, I have repeatedly been asked to perform the same basic checks.

Most recently, a 90-minute remote support session ended with yet another request to check whether “Manage stock” was enabled for every variation — something I have already investigated extensively.

The following day, senior support management confirmed that the backend team had the necessary information to investigate. Just hours later, another support representative requested screenshots and product details that had already been supplied.

Meanwhile, outstanding Sales Orders cannot be imported reliably, and a separate updateSOList error is affecting the conversion of successfully imported Sales Orders into invoices.

I appreciate that complex technical problems can take time to investigate. However, repeatedly requesting the same information without identifying the underlying cause is not a sustainable support process for a business.

My questions are:

  • Has anyone encountered this specific inventory-tracking mismatch error with WooCommerce variable products?

  • Was the underlying cause ever identified and resolved?

  • Has anyone experienced similar difficulties getting persistent integration problems investigated beyond basic configuration checks?

I would particularly appreciate hearing from other businesses using WooCommerce alongside Zoho Inventory and Zoho Books.

The case is currently under review by Zoho's technical team, but after months of unsuccessful troubleshooting, I would welcome practical experiences from other users.
