More Column and Row Options for Matrix Reports

Hi, I'd like to use more types of fields for the matrix reports in the columns and rows. Currently, you cannot use Formulas, Numbers, or Lookups as a column field. Instead, I need to make a Summary Report, Export it, then make a matrix through a pivot table through that. Thanks.
