more from the groups

Hi all (especially you the great hackers that code this web app)

I heard around you are comming with a new version...
anyway I can't wait and the software already does its job graciously in most of its applications, so I will say right now, before I see what you have got, a couple of thing that are turn-offs in the 3.2 latest service pack version:

first, lets set the fact that I may be misusing the software and not get the point of each app, I do my best to sysadmin this beast and always am ready to learn new tricks. then, if I understood anything, why:

* members of a group receive a notification each time someone upload a document inside that group. (start to look almost like spamming for some members that are more observers than participant ) I would like to have this option on the side of the document-uploading-person that would default to no notification unless he choose it and then be able to choose to which members. This Group Document thing is good in my sense to build a central document location for current things you work on and edit with webdav, in which case you could want to notify people sometimes, but it is also good as a library of manuals & informative documents and as some kind of archive for drivers, softwares, scripts in which cases you probably don't want anybody to notice it right away and is possibly put there for posterity.

* inversely, when starting a group discussion, the procedure feels a bit ankward if you want to notify anybody about the fact that you would like to discuss something with them. No "Locate" button like when assigning a task to someone or sharing some personnal documents.

* and as a last one for today, when having a group event/appointement in a group calendar, could that event just belong to the group and not to a member, and then be able to get edited by any project moderator. when you start using group calendar to schedule meeting inside a company and have two different coordinators working two different shift, then what should you do when the afternoon one need to postpone a meeting the morning one had programmed. You can't even delete it to replace it!
