I want to move records from the Contact Module to the Potentials Module. I believe, based on what I've read in Forums, that the only way to do this is to create a report in Contacts, export it, and then import those records into Potentials.
1. If there is a better way? I'd love to do via an update of some kind.
2. I'm concerned about what will happen after an import of those records into Potentials. I obviously don't want to delete anything in Contacts until I'm sure that everything imported correctly. The records will be viewed as duplicates, correct? In anticipation of this, I'd select the Clone option as part of an Import, but don't know what to expect.
3. My greatest concern is what will happen to all the notes and contact history I have on each of those records in the Contact Module. How do I preserve them?
