Multiple users working with the same contact

As a salesman I am on the road quite a bit and rely on my handheld to make calls and schedule appointments.

For each contact record there is one owner, and only that owner gets to sync with outlook (and their handheld through the exchange). Is there a way that two users can get the same contact into outlook via sync?
