That being said I feel that there are a number of usability improvements that could be put into place and a quick scan around the forums would indicate that I am not the only one.
- Conditional display of fields in Account/Contact screens - we capture a lot of data and not all of it is relevant to every Account/Contact. It would be good if there was a way to conditionally display certain fields based on some logical test e.g IF Shipping Country = France then display these fields
- Easy editing of Contact information in Account screen - it would be good to be able to quickly edit contact tel, fax, mobile & email details in the Account screen without having to go into the full contact screen. Maybe something like the single field edit function that is in all modules?
- Pulling thru default tel numbers - many times we have a contact telephone number for an Account but not the contact. It would be a useful tool that when you assign a contact to an account it automatically pulls thru the Account contact telephone number
- Auto update of address in contact - it is a real pain that when you make an adjustment to a shipping address in the Account screen it doesn't filter through to the contacts. You have to go into each contact and reselect the account for the change to show, a real hassle if there are lots of contacts
- Drop down menu for countries - another nice to have would be drop down list for countries, both billing and shipping. It is quite hard to keep consistency e.g US, USA, America, United States of America, and I have various reports based on certain country names that don't work when people change things
- Multi select contacts in Email app - another nice to have would be to be able to multi-select contacts in the Outlook Add-in. e.g I am sending an email to three people at the same company and I'd like to be able to search for their company then add the email to ALL 3 at the same time rather than only being able to add them one by one
- Email tracking reports - I have various reports set up for activity tracking but numerous people in our organisation have asked to track emails added thru the outlook plug-in. Is this possible
- Report logic - I find the report logic very cumbersome and quite limited, which means that you have to create multiple reports that duplicate information because the filters do cannot cope with varied requests
- Assigning tasks to Campaigns via mass creation - When you mass create the same task for multiple contacts it would be great to be able to relate them to a specific Campaign, or for that matter potential. We have various marketing campaigns set up and want to track the activity on them and I would like to be able to assign a large number of tasks and associate them with a certain campaign.
- Better response to service requests - I have had several instances where email requests to service have not even been acknowledged for at least 3 days. This is not acceptable.
All in all I am very impressed with ZOHO and so are the other users in my organisation, however I think that there are a few issues that need resolving to make the user experience much better.
