First time posting in this Community! I've searched through this community and just stuck right now. I run a roofing company and want my reps to be able to submit orders that will automatically populate Material Order, Work Orders, populate Estimates etc based on "roof Measurements" they input into module fields. The problem I'm facing is I created Products & Services with pricing. They input measurements, then fetch Products & Services based on their criteria to configure cost + margin. I created a Module called orders where they will input their measurements, select the "Main" materials needed Shingle type & Color. But, based on measurements they input, I want it to automatically start adding fields "Material items" to subforms for Material Order & also create Order form for services? Or if there is another way to generate something like that. Example of material order list that we have to submit to our supply company in order to get it delivered.
Shingles
Ridge & Hip
Starter
Felt
Ice & Water
Box Vents
Pipe Jacks
Nails
Staples
Sometimes - depending on the job
Need Decking
Step Flashing
Valley Metal
Our reps would select type and color of Shingles they want and particular materials for that job. Everything else needs to automatically be generated as these reps don't always know what to add to a material list. Subform was hard to configure as if a rep were filling this out, they would have to add each row themselves and that will cause mistakes as they do not know everything that needs included into the order. So I need it to auto generate based on Checkmark, picklist, Lookup (Material type under products, Services, which also configures the pricing for each line), Not sure how to create this?
I feel I've created tons of Modules, Forms, Formulas, Products to find out it can't work and then I start over. I either need a better workflow? or Script to help with this. The "Measurements" is the key to populating everything from invoices, estimates, orders, create our budgets etc. So once they input measurements I want it to trigger and start populating everything Material order, Work Order, budget, Estimates etc. Hope all this makes sense. Or if there is a B2C workflow or process you do not mind sharing? My biggest goal with this CRM is to have them input one time and just click a few buttons that generates everything else for them. thanks guys!
