I have a referral system for my bookkeeping business where referrals who sign on to work with me earn the referrer a $ discount on their next bill. I was excited to be able to use Thrive to track this rather than a spreadsheet, but it seems specifically designed for e-commerce websites. I can add the "task" of making a referral and assign it a value in points equal to the $ they earn, but I can't add any rewards without an API or webhook -- which I don't have.
Basically, I'd like to be able to add completed tasks and log rewards without having an e-commerce platform. I'd be happy with an integration to Zoho CRM to pull my client list as well as entering participants manually, but I definitely need to be able to note that clients have completed the "task" to add the points/$ to their "account" and then log the spending of those points/$ so I can have an accurate idea of who has how much banked up and see the referral history.
While it would be cool someday to have an integration with Books to spend points for a discount on an invoice, I also use a third-party program for some clients, so I still need manual control.
Honestly, Thrive could be a super useful solution for small businesses like myself that have rewards type programs but aren't in e-commerce. I've yet to find anything small that focuses just on this without a lot of other features (that cost $) that I don't need or already have covered elsewhere. I'd like to simplify my systems as much as I can, ideally into Zoho so I can take advantage of the integrations.
