Need to filter running total in date range without changing the overall total

I set up a running total column in pivot view with date range and agent filters to show their pay for a certain pay period. The running total shows only the totals for the that period and excludes the overall balance of their pay from their starting date.

I know I can export the overall pay view for all entries and export them to excel to filter the solid data by date range, but I'm trying to keep the process simple for the office manager to run a payroll without too much configuration.

Please advise.
