We have introduced two new components to the module builder: Quick create and Detail view.
The Quick Create Component
It is a mini form used to create a record and associate it to the parent record from a lookup field. For example, if you have a Deals lookup in the Contacts module, then you can associate existing deals or create a deal and associate it with the contact. You can customize this Quick Create form by adding standard as well as custom fields. There is no limit to the number of fields that you can add.
The form is layout specific, so you can create a different form for each layout. Therefore, when you are adding a new record from the lookup field, you can select the appropriate layout.
Detail View Component
The following two components of the record's details view can be customized for different layouts.
- Business card view - For each layout you can customize the business card view by adding or removing the fields. A maximum of 5 fields (standard and custom) can be added. You can also reposition the fields by dragging and dropping to the desired place.
- Related lists - For each layout, you can show/hide a particular related list. You can also customize the columns that will be displayed in the related list by adding/removing fields (columns), removing the items (except notes and those that are added as part of an integration, for example, Social or Zoho Projects), and reordering them.
