New in WorkDrive: Share with Anyone on the Internet

If you need to share a document or file online, it's best to do this securely and reliably. While there are multiple methods for transferring files online, it's good to keep in mind the purpose of sending the information and understand who your viewers are.

WorkDrive already gives you a customized External Sharing option, where the sender can control the link properties to share data securely.

In addition to that, here's a new way of sharing files with external viewers. By using this new feature, you can allow anyone to view and download the file online by sending them links to access the file.

You will now find an extra sharing option, Anyone on the Internet, in the visibility options of the permalink settings for every file and folder.

This action of sharing files through a link to everyone on the internet offers both the "View" access level and the "Download" option enabled by default.

For instance, if you want to make your upcoming business events schedule accessible to anyone online without restrictions, you can use this option with these steps:

1. In the Share dialog box of the particular file, click on Change Visibility next to Permalink.

2. Change the visibility to "Anyone on the internet."

3. Copy the link and share it on your website or social media, or through direct emails or chats to your customers.
