New in Zoho CRM - Territory Management, Custom Modules, Social Interactions, Custom Functions and More...

This time we bring to you a bundle of updates in Zoho CRM that include some cool features you would love to use. Here it goes -

Territory Management
- Sales territory is a familiar term in business: segmenting customers and distributing it among the sales reps to prioritize sales opportunities and increase sales. For a complex sales structure, the task of segmenting customer accounts based on the characteristics of accounts rather than the individual ownership of the records is made easy with territory management in Zoho CRM.

It comes with the benefits of automatically assigning records to the territories in the sales structure, setting sales targets for each territory a user belongs to (about which you will be reading later in this article) and a variety of reports to evaluate and measure the efficiency of sales teams by territory. Before implementing it for your organization, decide if territory management suits your business needs.
 

Custom Modules - Be it health care, real estate, manufacturing, insurance, education or any other industry, each has specific data relevant to their business processes that needs to be stored inside CRM. For those unique business requirements, the modules (tabs) that we offer, don't have to be the only ones you use. We introduce Custom Modules - an option to create your own module that caters to the industry needs. These custom modules are just like any standard module that allows you to customize, import and export data, configure workflow rules, link with other standard CRM modules and generate reports.

Custom Functions - For this feature, picture these scenarios:
  • You would like to automatically update the address information of contacts based on the mailing address of the parent account.
  • When the potential status is "closed won", you want to push the potential, related contact and account details to Zoho Books or any 3rd-party accounting software. Once the status of the invoice is changed to "paid" in the accounting software, you want the potential to be instantly updated in Zoho CRM.
Custom Functions, powered by Deluge Script, are handy to address these types of workflow automation needs. Write simple program using Deluge Script Builder and associate them with rules. When the workflow criteria is matched, system will automatically trigger the custom function and update the record. We have also added gallery functions to kick-start using custom functions.

Social Tab - Of the millions who use social networks, there are some who talk about the products they use, their business requirements, their major influencers and also about product/service they consider for their business needs. Social media tools are of great help when it comes to knowing your prospects well before you even start selling.

Until now, each user could associate the Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn profiles of the leads and contacts they are working with. Now, not just the individual user, the company too can add their Facebook page and Twitter profile in Zoho CRM. You can then monitor your company's Facebook page and Twitter profile, search relevant topics, engage with customers and prospects and add leads or contacts… all from within the Social tab inside Zoho CRM!

New Web Form Builder

- Who doesn't like simple, effective tools to complete tasks? Our Web form builder now has a What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get (WYSIWYG) Editor to make the process of creating web forms simple. Just drag & drop to create forms in minutes! Furthermore, hidden fields, captcha and the option to collect documents from visitors are introduced, that can be added without the help of programmers and additional codes. What makes it really simple are the ready to use codes to publish web forms in third-party sites like WordPress, Facebook, Google Sites and Joomla.


Automatic Sync in Zoho CRM Plug-in for MS Outlook - If you are someone who uses Microsoft Outlook for your business communications via email, the latest version of the Zoho CRM Plug-in for MS Outlook, will excite you. The plug-in now lets you automatically synchronize contacts, tasks and calendar events from MS Outlook to Zoho CRM. Go ahead, download the latest version of the Plug-in for MS Outlook and also check out the new mail settings provided to add emails from MS Outlook to the related leads/contacts in Zoho CRM.

New Forecasts

- The new improved forecasts is a very useful addition to this list. Switch to the new forecast that offers many new and useful options that are not available in the old forecasts. Set targets for individual users and their roles/territories in the hierarchy and track their performance, navigate easily and drill down each role/territory to access the required data, check the shortages in the pipeline to gain valuable insights, identify Star Performers, get notified when there is a mismatch in the sales target, and lots more!

Integration with Zoho Campaigns

- The Integration with Zoho Campaigns allows you to sync leads and contacts of Zoho CRM and send campaigns from Zoho Campaigns. Information, if centralized is convenient and saves a lot of time. Keeping that in mind, you can now view the important information on how many emails were delivered, opened, unopened, clicked, etc. within Zoho CRM. Avoid juggling between two different services. Get snapshot of all the important and contextual campaign information from inside CRM.

Integration with Zoho Calendar
- Synchronize the events from Zoho CRM's Calendar to Zoho Calendar. Don't miss out on events and avoid the confusion of managing multiple calendars. Add and edit existing events in one place get them updated in both the calendars.
