New Module with a Pipeline

Hello,

We have been trying to use the CRM Deals to also be the process for things like government proposals, but we are running into issues where are typical deal pipeline does not really match that of a government proposal. We think that we need to create a custom module for Proposals.
  1. Is it possible to create a new module for Proposals and also have a Pipeline view for it (with my own custom stages)?
  2. How do we add a field like "Stage" and "Amount" to the new module and also have a field that is "Expected Revenue" which is the Stage Probability x Amount?
  3. Is there another way to accomplish something like this? Is there a proposals pipleine in existance or a plugin?
