New to Zoho CRM and confused about webforms & workflow automation

Hi,

I'm confused about the steps required to collect leads from a webform to be assigned to different record owners for their attention.

I have set up a webform to collect leads from an advertisement. 
To create the form I have completed sections for:
  • lead assignment rule
  • notifications to owner and visitor*
  • request for approval

Do I still have to create an auto response rule for the appropriate email to be sent when a record is generated by the webform?  Is this necessary when I have completed notifications to owner of record and visitor nominating the specific email templates (above*)

I have then created workflow rules which seems to duplicate this information in some areas:

  • In the workflow rule for sending alerts, will the record owner get another notification duplicating the one above*
  • In the workflow rule for tasks , if I tick notify assignee (not remind assignee) will the record owner get a duplication of the same notification (*)

After spending considerable time reading support notes and looking at tutorials,  I'm still unclear about the process.
