New UI's intolerable system bugs in templates!
Dear sirs,
Ignoring our feedback on the numerous design-related and usability inconveniences of the new CRM UI under the umbrella of "user's opposition to any change is automatic" is one thing. We rest our case powerlessly, but
Costing us clients and having us loose quotations due to a stupid malfunction of Inventory & Email Templates as a result of the compulsory transition is another. This problem applies to the modules:
- Quotations
- Purchase Order
- Invoices
- and probably Sales Order
3 years ago, we have created a customized and mapped Text Type field called "Number of units" in a number of modules (aside from the Qty system field in the price-calculation area). This has been working like a charm in both PDF templates & e-mail templates. We would send them from the system, confidently.
Problem:
Only today, we came to know that, in the new UI, when the number of units is entered (Text Type), is it display as (Currency): an amount with a € attached to it across all of our base and email templates!!!
Example:
Old UI tepmplates > Number of units > 250.000 words (to be translated)
New UI templates > Number of units > € 250.000 words (to be translated)
Assuming transition will cause no harm to system-functions, we went on as usual about it and sent at least 70+ quotations, PO's and Invoices in the last 3 days.
We can't just remove this custom-field and create new one, without loosing valuable information on our reports and old data!
How can this be solved?
ps: Fellow CRM user who use base-templates and emails extensively (and unsuspectingly), check your sent data and forwarded emails. Please reply to this post to emphasize the problem and trigger instant solution, if your are experiencing the same.
