New User\'s step-by-step Workflow Process...

Hello ZOHO Principals... would you please let us, the new-to-the-trade apprentices, know... how to approach and organize ourselves in designing the steps necessary to build my ZOHO CRM... what are the typical steps... #1, #2, #3, etc... what input needs to be first, what second, etc, until I will build-in all the needed information... could you please put this in a list format... task 1,2,3...

For newbees like myself [SOHO businesses, 1 to 3 people ... and yes, a simple accounting module would be a perfect addition - see a sample here http://www.my-crm.co.uk/tour.html]... all this, is an overwhelming experience and a simple itemized plan of action showing us the steps screen 1... screen 2... from a-to-z would be much appreciated...

and here, is a few specific questions...

[1]... [Products -> Products Details -> Commission Rate]... typically you assign here a percentage [%]... but this field is set to Currency... a [$] value... PS: there is an empty field space just below the [Commission Rate]... that can be named [Commission][$] in which dollar value can be calculated... allowing the [Commission Rate] to be [%]...

most of ZOHO's fields are locked... what is the reason that ZOHO Principals are giving us so limited [Edit|Replace] customization options...?

the same goes for the [Home] page...

[2]... is there any reason why ZOHO Principals are designing the Open Source CRM in a "new" way as opposite to starting with the available and free, basic Sugar Open Source CRM [see here... http://demo.sugarondemand.com/sugarcrm_os/index.php?action=Login&module=Users] that already has quite an advanced layout and functionality...?

ZOHO team would just need to add a [Products] module and... we would gladly pay for the ability to use Outlook and Word integration... we would be much ahead of the ZOHO's current interface... please let us know why you are not using the free Sugar Open Source CRM as your starting base... and if you are working on it... –when will you make it available...? –thanks.
