Newbie question: How do I create/sync an account with my own db using zoho api?

Whenever users sign-up in my site, I want to create a respective account under my crm account using the zoho api. I did read the wiki docs, but mot help seemed geared towards java, and I only know php :( .

Can someone please guide me a bit or point me in the right direction?
