newbie queston re: getting the info in modules to match up. Appreciate any advice

Hi

I've just signed up for Zoho enterprise for the small free magazine company I run. I am trying to customize Zoho CRM, and would very much appreciate a helping hand from any veteran users.

My problem

I have set up an "industry" field in Leads with a customized drop down list. (So I can see which industry potential leads belong to). I want Contacts and Potentials to read from the same data. So that an update of "industry" in one module reads the same in the others. Yet it seems Zoho CRM does not allow this. The best result I can get is three separate lists that do not relate.

If anyone can throw some light on this issue I would be very grateful.
