No incoming mail on Zoho crm

I attended zoholics London recently and was impressed with all the features and products so decided to implement them into our company as soon as possible. It seemed pretty important to get the emails all working correctly as this would be important when implementing and activating other products.

After a lot of work getting our domain name recognised and then changing the mail servers to point to Zoho, we don't seem to be any better off then we were before. Yes we can now use zoho mail but we can't receive emails directly into our zoho CRM which is the whole reason we decided to migrate our emails to zoho in the first place? Outgoing emails show fine provided we send them from the zoho crm record.

We use IMAP as we are a company that operates from different locations at different times so need our mail synced. We are using Zoho CRM Professional. 

I have read somewhere that you only support POP and not IMAP - is this correct? It makes no sense for us to change our way of working to POP as our sales team will quickly become confused about what email require attention and what have already been dealt with. (not all email are to do with customers, some are to do with suppliers who don't feature in ZOHO CRM so therefore IMAP is needed). POP is outdated and with the move to cloud based computing it makes sense to adopt IMAP so therefore as a cloud based company, one would think that Zoho would fully embrace IMAP at the earliest opportunity?

Please can you explain what I need to do to enable our incoming emails through IMAP to populate the appropriate CRM records. I have ensured that all users are activated and that CRM is ticked as an application we are using in Zoho Mail preferences. Is there something else I should be activating?
