NON Google Calendar syncing apps

NON Google Calendar syncing apps

I hate using Google as the base of EVERYTHING.  I have now spent at LEAST 20 hours trying to figure out what app I can use so that my Zoho calendar will be synced on my android device.  I do not want to have to get online, I want an app.  Do I have to actually sync my Zoho calendar with a google calendar and then use some sort of app that will sync google calendars (since they all do!!); arrg. And also why won't my outlook work with Zoho...I did everything I was supposed to do, and during setup, the outlook add account kept saying "can't connect" and the error was something about not recognizing my info..and I followed everything EXACTLY as set forth in your instructions re POP accounts...what am I doing wrong??
