I would like to be notified + a have visible mark when the email has been opened by the recipient. 

Time stamp each time the recipient opens the email.

We would like a true email tracking feature (pixel tracking like in zoho crm) without asking the recipient to confirm they've "read" the email.

Email Tracking is not available in our product roadmap , Our product development team is analyzing your request and we will look into the possibilities of implementing the same in our future updates.

The feature is available in Zoho Bigin and Zoho CRM would be great to add it directly in the Email as well, along with features like:

+ When email is opened (email tracking) but there's no reply, to create workflow/email sequence to follow up with another email (option to have customized email template, time to wait before sending, etc)

+ Set reminder to follow up or be notified on the email to view later and/or to follow up

+ Set reminder to follow up or be notified if sent email has no reply after X # of days


Currently we have to use another email client to accomplish all this, I believe Zoho Mail would become even more powerful tool if features like these are added and enhanced with.

With reference to Tracking feature considering the privacy, we will not be able to support email open tracking or an tracking features. This is not in our roadmap.

Set reminder to follow up or be notified if sent email has no reply after X # of days.  This can be supported in future via filters and we will keep you posted once there is any progress on the same.

Since the open tracking feature is already built within Zoho CRM & Bigin when we are sending out emails to customers wouldn’t that be considered privacy issue as well? It’s the same function except it’s done in a CRM email, which is why it would be great to migrate it to Zoho Mail also since you already offer this feature.

The emails that are sent via CRM/ Bigin are considered as Sales/ Marketing emails and if you notice, those emails have options to 'Unsubscribe'. Those emails are purely marketing emails and can be sent only if your contacts have opted in for your emails with an option to unsubscribe.

However, the emails sent from Zoho Mail are normal one to one correspondence emails. We will not support 'tracking' options in the normal emails.

We suggest you to try out Zoho Campaigns which provides interesting insights about delivery and open behavious of marketing emails.

Regardless of if it's one-on-one correspondence, we should have the option not only to track when they have opened the email, but to get notified that they have opened the email. This is a major help with customer service, building loyalty, etc.

Thank you for responding.

We're not looking to send mass emails nor subscribe customers in a email marketing campaign. Open tracking feature is simply to confirm if the recipient of the single email has received and opened the email. It is a very standard feature now for email providers and for most of us in the sales and customer service industry would thrive on this ability without the need of changing between crm/bigin to mail.

We are forced to use other mail clients and give our monthly/annual subscription to them just because this is a lack in the workflow of zoho mail.

I and many of us would appreciate if Zoho can reconsider its perception of open tracking feature in zoho mail.

The users who have given their opinions on email tracking are trying to help Zoho add an extra layer of credibility.

If Zoho tracks one-to-one email as an added feature, this will prevent Zoho customers from using alternative services.

To be clear, I already use this service with other email services like Snovio, Mailtrack, streak, and a host of others. And it has nothing to do with MASS MAILING. It is usually a manually sent cold email which requires us to send out emails one by one.

Zoho should consider adding this feature.

As mentioned in our previous comments, we will not be providing Email tracking feature as part of Zoho Mail which is a business email solution. You can always choose to ask for a read receipt from the receivers upon their consent.

However, if you wish to have the email tracking feature which we consider is required in case of marketing emails or transactional emails, you can try using Zoho Campaigns or ZeptoMail. These are our marketing and transactional email solutions respectively.

Zoho Mail

This feature is much needed.

Being able to contact our parners and our customers based on their action on our email help us engage with ours contacts. 

Having a timestamp of emails being opened does make a difference for us.

We currently use Gmail with Streak to achieve the same but would lvoe to move to Zoho Mail if this feature was integrated properly.
