Opening up the meeting access early

Is is possible to have the Join Meeting button show up 15 minutes before the start of the meeting?

We had our first live event yesterday and so many people went to the site a few minutes early only to find the registration page and no way to join.  This caused people just to dial in instead of using their webcams.  We want people to be able to check in a little early so that we are ready to go at the start time.
