The way I manage my dairy calls (exclusively outbound) is missing some essentials features in the Call section.
Ok I am using the free subscription at the moment so I cannot ask anything, however I believe my needs can meet those of other Zoho Users.
- Need for a Close button (like that of Tasks) that sets the status of a Call to Completed. When you end up, finally, after a week of tentatives, talking with your Contact, you do not need anymore to see the Call among the list of Calls, it should be set to Completed and disappear from the view of Open Calls. Today I manage this with the Delete button but this is imperfect.
- Need for the possibility to record the history of a call, because I hardly succeed in talking to my Contact at the first call: I need to record quickly all tentatives I made, at what time/day I called, the result of the call with preregistered options ("no answer", "busy line", "on another phone call, call later", "she will call you back",...) and a Note field for special comments ("on holidays for 2 weeks", ...).
- Need to manage Priorities - some calls are more important than others and it should be possible to put them on the top of the list and to establish priorities between the others. Priorities that can be changed because... priorities change in time.
- Need to have clock features to set the appropriate time for the next tentative to take place: shift by 90 minutes or after 2 PM
. and... why not, pop up features for those calls you should not miss the exact time, because your contact can only be reached between 1 PM and 1:15 PM today.
(I am new to Zoho CRM and I really like it. Mine is a very small business at this time and I appreciate the opportunity Zoho gave me to start with a free CRM that meets already 60% of my needs.
