Hi,
one of my users was experiencing problems with the Outlook Plugin and when I connected it turns out he can't even install it. The installation program starts correctly and you will get the first page where you click next, then the installer just dies.
We tried downloading it several times and then moved the installer to another computer where install just fine. We reinstalled office without any success. We have tried other Outlook plugins without any problems, just to check if the problem was related to Outlook. There is nothing in the Windows Eventlog and nothing in the Antivirus logs related to even starting the installation process.
Now, is it possible to to manually install the plugin, like copying the files from a working client and register the DLL:s manually? Or is there any other solution to this problem, like cleaning out specific posts in the registry?
