Partnership workflow advice needed

Hey Guys,

We often pitch projects to our partners clients, where I have to both pitch our partner on the idea as well as then pitch to the client directly in partnership with them.

I'm struggling with how to represent this in our workflow.  Should I enter the end client as the opportunity/lead, or our partner?  I've added "partner" as a lead source option, but I really need to know which partner specifically.  I've added a partner dropdown to select the partner, but it's a pain to maintain that partner list field between leads/opportunities.
