Perfomance for many databases and 1 database?

Perfomance for many databases and 1 database?

Hello,

Is there any difference in performance between, lets say, 1 database with 10.000 entries and 10 databases with 1.000 entries. Is it better to distribute the number of entries to decrease the respond time?
