Pick list for descriptions or text/comments

I'm not sure where else such a feature would be useful however with creating quotes i often add text to a special "notes" field i have created that appears in the templates for quotes (and invoices) that allows me to elaborate for each quote and offer extra information when needed.  This provides the customer with more information and I can aslo use it to highlight other options etc.

In any case my point is that i often have to write the exact same thing  that i have written many times before so i'm wondering if it is possible to add a module or something like the templates module to allow users to create a set comments or text that can be inserted into a text field in any existing module/tab.

This may be useful for contacts/accounts/leads/invoices & quotes and i'm sure users would find a way to implimet this if it was available.

For example if i create a quote i often need to exlain a few things like the following that would help if i could just insert it from a pop-up list (much like products when creating a quote).

When a customer of ours requires a face painter 2.5hrs and they have not selected any other service option we offer,  instead of sending them a quote for an additional service such as Balloon Twisting I can simply insert a comment in the "notes" field i have created, to say something like the following "Did you know that you can have us send someone with the additional skill of balloon modelling for only $38.50? ...and  then explain how this works to clarify any possible misconceptions (in this case ti would be that one person could offer both services and we would not send 2 staff if ballooning is required)".
The extra text could be anything ...links to web pages, reference to past discussions, including precusors to dates or past experience, describing products, describing staff, describing processes or services to avoid misunderstanding or simply put information that is unique to a particular quote or service/s that can vary and a template would allow you to insert the bulk of the text.

Basically its just to make creating documents a little more flexible and quicker.  I'm sure many users have aspects of their communication with customers or general contacts etc that require repetitive creation of items or documents that include the same comments. again and again

Hope that all makes sense. If not perhaps it will give you some idea of what i'm trying to describe.
"text tepmlates" is what I'd call it.
