Sometimes we can't think of every option for a picklist.

It would be great if, while creating a record, you could add a new value to a picklist.

I would imagine this would be a option setting for the picklist field "allow user to add to list"

Also, as duplicate entry's are inevitable, please allow the merging of two or more pick list values.
