PLEASE make events more streamlined! (feature requests)

Please make Zoho more streamlined for users like me, who heavily rely on the Events part of Activities.

Our company employs 7 outside salespeople, all of whom spend most of their time making in-person calls with customers, generating potentials and working toward closing those potentials. it would be great to see event activities streamlined in the following manner:

a) get rid of participants, and just allow to associate with multiple contacts -- why would there EVER be a situation in which a participant wouldn't also be a contact associated with the event? I often times have meetings with two or three people in an account, at the same time--and I want them all to be associated with the event. Even contacts associated with vendors when I make calls with vendor territory managers. What is the logical difference between a participant and a contact?

b) possibly a second alternative is to ask me if I also want to email an invitation to the CONTACT I'm holding this meeting with. Why on EARTH would you ask me to send an invite to participants, but NOT the contact himself?
