Power of a Birthday Wish as Client Nurturing

I don't think I'll make a revelation by saying how heartwarming and personal it would be for a client, whether existing or potential, to receive a birthday wish. Zoho seems to have the means but I cannot find info on taking the full advantage of them.

In my vision, I'd set an annual template congratulating the client, along with cute graphics, warm wishes, and a little gift of a discount or a freebie. It would cycle throughout the year on auto-pilot bt at the end of the year I'd refresh the template completely. That way, no one would feel like getting a cookie-cutter message over and over.

CRM has a birthday field. It has an automated email functionality. Is there a way to connect the dots?

As far as I know, Facebook blocked pulling their birthdays years ago. Ok, I'm fine with manually entering them. A huge task but will pay off in the long run. However, it brings me to the next point.

CRM mandates the year in the birthday field... Need I say how handicapping this is? I can find a person's birthday (say, even via Facebook where my personal profile is connected with hundreds of my clients) but am I supposed to ask their age? Without entering the year, the field is blocked. I can play a game of wild guessing as a workaround but why put an extra effort on us?

All major marketing channels talk about the power of a birthday wish to your connections and I know CRMs that implemented this. Can we catch up, please? :)
