Preparing for a migration from Gmail
Hi.
Introduction:
- I am thinking of moving my email service from Gmail to Zoho.
- I have my own domain.
- There are more email users in that domain at the moment.
- I don't want to migrate all of my users before testing Zoho service thoroughly on a single email address (i.e. my own)
- So, I cannot point MX records to Zoho servers yet.
- Which means that during the testing period I am going to use Zoho as a pop3/smtp client to google mail servers.
The problem:
- I am unable to configure the pop3/smtp settings between Google and Zoho servers. In particular, when I tell Gmail to accept pop3 connections, and configure Gmail pop account in Zoho, emails sent to Gmail do not get retrieved by Zoho although I was able to migrate my old Gmail messages into Zoho using exactly the same account (so, there is no issue with username or password or pop3 settings like ports or ssl etc).
