When I want to forward an email received through Zoho, the layout changes:
Buttons are cut
Pictures change size
Text changes alignment (left/right/center)

Is this a common problem in Zoho?

Hi Zoho Team,

We are having a similar issue as op. After sending a campaign with Zoho Campaigns, if the recipient forwards the message to a someone not on the mailing list, the newsletter image becomes oversized and the text becomes so small you barely can read it. We have used Constant Contact and Click Dimensions in the past and did not have an issue with forwarding our email campaigns like we do with Zoho Campaigns.

I appreciate your suggestions in this thread on how to "fix" the problem, but from my experience, most users will automatically forward an email to someone because this is the easiest and most familiar way to share email. Having a fix for this is important. When I receive campaigns, I know I don't search out a "Tell a friend" link or even use "View in browser" mode. If it doesn't work the first time, I usually lose interest and go on with my day.

Is there a fix in the works for this? If yes, can we have a timeline?

Apologies for any delay in response.

Our developer have informed us that they are already working on the above request with the high priory. It will be available in our future updates after the testing phase, so kindly give us some time we will get back to you with an update at the earliest.

what is the expected timing of this fix? As other posters have said the reformatting issues on forward pretty much eliminates any hope of "viral" forwarding of a message to the recipient's personal contacts that they want to share with. People will not "tell a friend" they will just forward an email. I never have this issues on other email blasts I receive that I want to forward.

Our development team is working on this case, but this task is getting delayed due to few complexities and security issues. As of now we can't give you exact ETA.

We are experiencing the same problem, when forwarding email, calls to action get messed up. What is the fix for it, yes people forward emails all the time :)

In order to overcome reported issues when forwarding your email, we recommend you to utilize our Tell-A-Friend merge tag to forward emails without alignment/formatting issues as of now.



Also, we would like to inform that our development team is checking possibility in different email clients to avoid such issue when forwarding emails so you can expect this feature in our upcoming updates.

Thanks for posting!

As we informed earlier, the reported concern has been notified to our development team. Though we can not give you an ETA, we believe this enhancement shall be implemented in future. Until then, please add the tell-a-friend merge tag in your content area either as a hyperlink or button and encourage your recipients to use it in case if they wish to share the campaign content.

To your original question from 2 years ago, ALL problems are "common problems" in Zoho. In my organization, we spend more time troubleshooting and emailing support than getting anything done. None of the "problems" have ever been resolved, and I am not exaggerating. But for some reason we keep paying for it...

Our template editor is built with features to create contents that are responsive in most of the major mail clients. We did check your previous cases and found few requirements are not possible due to complexities and security reasons in the end recipients mail boxes.

Is there any update on this? The forwarded emails are a hot mess, especially the buttons! This is a 4 year old thread... i'm hoping for some good news here... Come on zoho!

Unfortunately such provision is not yet implemented in the product neither do we have them on our road map. Therefore, we request you to try the tell-a-friend option for forwarding the emails from the recipients' end.

I can't believe that this complaint was submitted 4 years ago and that nothing has been done to improve it. I'm having the same problem and it's turning out to be a deal breaker. I'm about to choose a different platform.

As mentioned in previous comment, our template editor is built with features to create contents that are responsive in most of the major mail clients. When you forward Zoho Campaigns emails from recipients mailbox, your email content will adopt the recipient's mailbox editor configurations which will result in alignment/formatting issues.

This is a normal behaviour when recipients forward/reply to your emails. As each Email Service providers have their own editors and configurations which differs from one to the other we are unable to address this use case for all of them as of now. However, we will surely have our team check for an alternate solution in our upcoming updates.

We recommend you to use our Tell-A-Friend merge tag to forward emails without alignment/formatting issues.

Over three years and this still isn't fixed?!?!?!? We obviously need to look for another platform as well.

We understand your requirement to forward emails sent from Zoho Campaigns. As mentioned in previous comments, each Email Service providers have their own editors and configurations which differs from one to the other so we don't have control over it so there is a high chance for alignment/formatting issues when forwarding emails using default forward option in the mail clients. 

Our team informed that they are already looking for alternate options to forward emails without alignment/formatting issues. In the meanwhile, we recommend you to use our Tell-A-Friend merge tag which will help your recipients to forward emails as of now.
