Problem with custom domain login

For anyone that has an issues with this as I've had for 4 days, there is a relatively easy way to solve it without waiting an eternity for Zoho help or trying everything like clearing the cache, using different browsers etc. etc. , the likely problem is with your dns setting at your domain host, you may have changed provider or accidentally deleted the cname record & you haven't kept a record of it (like me) ?

  1. Firstly log into Zoho Books using : https://books.zoho.com/app?no_custom_domain=true#/home/dashboard
  2. Then you need to go to settings | preferences | custom domain
  3. Disable & or delete ( unless it shows the cName record which you can then go to steps e. onwards )
  4. Create a new custom domain ( I re-used the one I had ), this will generate your target name record
  5. Enter these details in your domain holder dns as a cName record
  6. Wait a period for it to propagate & then verify in Zoho
  7. You will then have to wait for a few days for the certificate installation
  8. While you're waiting on this at least you can use Books with the above url !
Wish I was given this url to test when I first had a problem logging in rather than waiting patiently for 4 days for a phone call from help which never materialized :-(
