Problem with Events and Invitations

We have the CRM calendar sync with Google in a 2 way sync. This is so we can access this calendar from iCal - including adding entries and attendees. When we try to send out an invite, the list gets duplicated many times - presumably because of the sync with Google. I'll end up with 30 invitees for a meeting that should only have three.  Additionally, I have no idea what gets sent as an invite - I never receive invites to myself and the others do not seem to get there.  Can anyone help me with this mess?
