As many have asked before, we are importing leads that often do not have a last name.  Having the last name as a requirement creates a problem as some records have last names and some don’t, as well as some have multiples of the same last name.  The same last name is very common in family owned businesses. 

 Additionally, we sometimes have a full name and not a last name.  The full name may include a middle name, a title or suffix.  Is there a way to convert a full name into its component parts?   We don’t have an automated way to do it and to do that over thousands of records is very time consuming. 

 Since even the recommended fix creates duplicates of last names, what purpose does the last name play that Zoho has insisted for years that this has to be a required field, even though there have been numerous customer objections?
