Problems with BTinternet - SPF - Blacklisted?
Hi,
I have had problems sending to @btinternet.co.uk addresses (my mum mainly)
I use my own email on my own domain through Zoho
I was getting the mails bounced back with the error 'too many messages'
I researched this and found that putting in an SPF entry might help, so I did this and checked on kitterman.com:
SPF records are published in DNS as TXT records.
The TXT records found for your domain are:v=spf1 mx include:zoho.com ~all
Checking to see if there is a valid SPF record.
Found v=spf1 record for sutherland.pt:v=spf1 mx include:zoho.com ~all
evaluating...
SPF record passed validation test with pySPF (Python SPF library)!
However, now I still get emails bounced back but now with this error:
The following addresses had fatal errors -----
[Status: Error, Address: <xxxxxxxx@btinternet.com>, Wrong state!]
I found this thread and then tried my own domain in the MTL toolbox checker and it is listed as blacklisted by two sites.
Its only a family website.
Could the fact that BT have been bouncing my emails as spam because of no SPF and now I am blacklisted
Any advice on what to do?
I'm not an expert in these kinds of things,
Thanks
