Spent an entire morning to try to get Zoho to work on two different Samsung Galaxy Tabs (10 with Android 3.1) and the older 7-inch with Android 2.x on it. My findings:
- Mail with IMAP - no problem (would not expect it).
- Syncing with ActiveSync:
Mail apparently not supported at all (which you will find out after a lot of digging in support forums and manuals)
Calendar and Contacts works lousy at best and can be considered to be unusable.
10.1 with Android 3.1
- Have never been able to even see the Zoho Calendar in the Galaxy Tab and have never been able to see a contact. Note that I don't even see the calendar in the list of available calendars where a number of google calendars appear.
7-inch with Android 2.x
- Was after a lot of fiddling able to sync calendar from Zoho to the Galaxy Tab but not the other way around. Was able to sync a contact from Zoho to the Tab. Unclear what actually gets it to work since from the beginning nothing happened and suddenly it did.
It may be that the Samsung variant of Android has problems to run two ActiveSync accounts at the same time, something that is reported with HTC phones. Tests above was performed with both one and two ActiveSync accounts but no difference.
User documentation is incomplete regarding Android setup, they have a few screenshots from setting of a phone but there is for example no information on how to set the value of domain.
Zoho still has some work to do with the Android/Samsung support. Zoho seems very nice and I would really like to use it instead of Google and this functionality would really add value if it worked.
