Product List: Accounts & Prospects

When i create a product list, it is common in our industry to have interest from Company's we track who are both prospects and established accounts. 
Yet, when i create a "product" report, it cannot create a single list, which is a HUGE shortcoming.  Since you can tie both prospects and accounts to a SINGLE product, why can you not export a SINGLE report list?  Why should we have to create two reports?
