Projects Documents: Is there a way to link to a Google Doc vs, Importing it?

In the Document Section of Projects I know there is an option to IMPORT a copy of theGoogle Doc, however by doing so, the imported Google Doc will not be in sync with the original document in Google.

Is there a way to just Import a link that points to the file in Google Docs? The user could then just click on the link to view or edit the actual Google Doc ?
