Please consider improving the formatting of Deluge code within your forum's rich-text editor and in replies to posts.
Your code blocks leave a lot to be desired:- // Here's some Deluge code from Learn Deluge:
- person = {
- "name" : "John",
- "age": 22
- };
- info person;
- // Line numbers are OK I guess, but making each line a pseudo-list item is not the way to do it. And what's with the visual break in the code block between lines?
That Deluge code should have syntax highlighting and be in a monospaced font.
(I assume you could use the same syntax highlighting engine you use in your Deluge editor interfaces, since you invented it in the first place.)
As it is, the code blocks are so pointless that no one uses them -- including your own staff. Deluge code is just copy-pasted as regular text. This makes it really hard to follow the code in the post itself, especially for long code blocks, as whitespace is not preserved.
Every other language and coding site that I can think of provides this kind of formatting as a given. I realize not everyone in Zoho is writing Deluge scripts, but given all the posts in the forums that include it, can you give it some love?
Thanks.
