QR Codes or bar codes integration to zoho....
Is it possible to integrate some sort of bar code scanning into a zoho create application?
What I am thinking is using this website http://qrcode.kaywa.com/ to input a comma delimited record from zoho to create a QR code. That code could be printed and placed on a product.
Someone would scan the code that is on the product with their phone and then email the record to zoho creator application. You can email records that get input into zoho creator application correct? What they would be emailing is the the data that the qc code brings up. The data that was originally used to make the code. It would need to be inputted into the qc code generator in the proper format for zoho to accept an emailed record.
Now i see a bunch of problems but most importantly i don't actually want to add a record in zoho, i want to update an existing record, is this possible? I want to use this to change the status of inventory as it moves from storage to transportation to for sale to sold.
Im afraid this may take too long to generate all the codes and since the code is always unique based on product serial numbers this task would never end. Could you get zoho to somehow input the data into the qr code generator, extract the resulting image, and add the image to a record?
Any other ideas would be great!
