Quickbook Integration Nightmares
This shouldn't be so hard... I have the following issues:
-
I want my invoice subjects in
Zoho to be descriptive. The web connector will not attempt to
transfer invoices is the subject exceeds 12 characters. That is
silly. It should truncate the subject if necessary, or better
yet, actually use an invoice number in Zoho to map to the
Invoice number in QB.
-
I have 35,000 contacts in Zoho,
but QB only allows 10,500 (Premier version). I really just want
to create a contact in QB if an invoice is pending transfer. As
a workaround, I created an automation rule to select the Add to
Quickbooks field in Contacts every time an invoice in Zoho is
updated. I set up the record selection in the Quickbooks
integration section in Zoho to only export contacts that have
this field selected. However, many of my contacts in Zoho do not
have email addresses, and the web connector will not transfer
contacts that don't have email addresses. I thought I could
resolve this by using automation to add a fake email
(no@email.com) to records where there is currently no email
address. However, this functionality does not exist - you can't
update an email address with a field update for some reason.
Worse yet - I can't use the mass update feature to update ALL
contacts without an email to add a fake email address, which
would solve this problem.
