Quote Line Items

In my quote template We would like a column that shows line items in that quote and chronologically listed.

For example

Line Item   PN     Description List Price    Qty   TTL
1              5890 Spoons         $2               5      $10
2              5845 Forks            $2               5      $10
3              5810 Knives           $2               5      $10

Currently the Line item field in our quote is reflecting the Line item number that the product was entered into the product module.

In the example above if Forks was the 65th item entered into the products Module it would show up as Line item 65 in the quote example above. I want them to be the actual line item in the quote, not how they were entered into the products module.

Can this be done, what field do we need to pull from in our quite template to have this Line item number entered and chronologically??
