Quote - Product Details - Customizing

I would like to calculate commissions and display this for sales reps during the quoting process.

I have created a product cost field in Products

I would like to add a field into the Product Details Section of the Quote Tab that that the "price" input by the operator and subtracts the "cost" that is set for the product in the field I have created (mentioned above). This would give a Gross Profit which can then be multiplied by a % to give commission,

this give instant feedback to sales representatives negotiating prices with customers and promotes high prices and margins

Does anyone know if this is possible?
