Thanks for the prompt response –it is greatly appreciated.

 

I am a little confused – hopefully you can clear this up.

 

Before adding my new tasks we already had a significant number of tasks in place all of which are available under the Quick Actions and under the New task section of any given contact. By what I can see there are no associated ‘Rules’ applicable to these existing tasks. I have checked under the Automation>Workflow>Rules section and cannot see anything. How can I see the existing structure of any rules associated with these already existing tasks so that I may mirror the structure in the new tasks I have added.

 

On all of the tasks we associate with our contacts we apply the task manually either via the New Task option or through the Quick Actions option – Just find it a little strange that on the previously created Tasks there is no rule visible yet it still appears in the drop down list on Quick Actions and New Task within each contact. I have included below how I am able to associate the existing tasks already on the system at the moment (Newly added tasks are not present in either list).

Thank you for writing to us, Duncan!

Please note that the Tasks which you are creating in Setup--> Automation--> Tasks can be associated only with the workflow rules. If you need to create Task for specific records, you have to create it manually under the Quick Actions. The tasks created in automation can be accessible only while creating workflow rule for the respective modules.

Good morning,

Over the past few weeks I have been creating several new tasks within Setup>Automation>Tasks section of CRM and although these are showing as setup in the correct manner I am unable to select any of these 'new' tasks within either the Contacts>Select any client>Quick Actions>Add a new Task or Contacts>Select any client>Open Activities>New Task.

Can you advise why none of the newly created tasks is showing in either of these locations and what I must do to correct the problem?

I would be very grateful if you could come back to us swiftly on this as it will impact on our current business processes if we are unable to utilise these newly created tasks.
