receiving e-mail in Thunderbird

I have signed up with you yesterday and set up with Thunderbird which all is working, except receiving e-mail .
it works sometimes, if I Got one e-mail it takes a long long time to download from your server . All it does not
How do i get emails in my Thunderbird v24 I noticed in the form there was someone out at the same problem Two months ago .
