We use Google GSuite and Zoho, with a sync between the two's calendars.
There are two serious oversights in the Zoho CRM calendar:
1. If you set an event as having an online meeting (Zoho Meetings), it is then impossible to set it as a recurrent event.
This means you use Zoho's calendar and Zoho Meetings for regular company events, such as the weekly sales or production meetings. Instead, we are being forced back to using Google.
2. If a Zoho CRM Event is set to repeat, it will not sych to Google. If a Google calendar event is set to repeating, it will not show in Zoho CRM. This effectively means we cannot use repeating events in either product and - worse - cannot put Zoho bookings into action, since it will not take into account our staff's regular meetings and block off time.
The repeating event issue is the real problem here It is clear Zoho needs to fix this problem, but it has been ignored for some years now. At this point, it is clear that what looks to be a small oversight is now impacting the ability of Zoho customers to implement other Zoho products - Meetings and Bookings for a start, plus any other service that leverages the CRM calendar.
Can Zoho please comment on when this will be addressed. I do understand that full functional parity with Google's approach to repeat events may not be possible. However, 95% of repeating events are daily, weekly or monthly. Surely that is a good place to start fixing this problem?
